Taiwanese actors shun Seungri amid sex-scandal probe

While many Taiwanese actor friends of former K-pop idol and entrepreneur Seungri ― who is allegedly involved in a sex, drugs and sex videos scandal ― are deserting him, some are sticking by him. 

Chen Bolin, according to Chinese online portal Sina's entertainment report Wednesday, told journalists in Taiwan that he and Seungri are "just friends" and he "doesn't know well about his business or what he does."

But witnesses said Chen visited the Burning Sun ― a Seoul nightclub at the center of the scandal in Gangnam district that was believed partly managed by Seungri ― in January for the Korean star's "mega-scale" birthday party, according to reports. There were photos of Chen and the club's DJ.

After the scandal emerged and police investigations began early this month, Chen wrote on Instagram: "Embrace kindness. Forgive ignorance. A beautiful world with irresponsible comments." The Mar. 17 post seemingly reflected the actor's candid thoughts regarding the scandal.


But Taiwanese actor Darren Wang unfollowed Seungri on social networks and deleted photos of himself with the Korean from the websites, according to Sports Chosun. 

Wang was known to have met Seungri at the January birthday party and was with Chen in the photo with the Burning Sun DJ.

Another Taiwanese star, Kai Ko, who has faced illegal drug use charges, was rumored to have visited the Burning Sun in January. The club is being probed by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for, among other charges, alleged distribution of illegal drugs that were used to sexually harass female customers. Ko's visit stirred a rumor he went to the club possibly to obtain drugs.

The Seoul police authority alleged Thursday that Seungri not only distributed sex videos on the Korean chatting app Kakao Talk but filmed other sex clips. He has denied this, according to Nocut News.

Seungri was accused of joining the app's chatroom where singer/TV personality Jung Joon-young in 2015 shared videos he secretly filmed of himself having sex with different women.

이번 달 초 스캔들이 불거지고 경찰 수사가 시작된 후, 첸은 인스타그램에 "친절을 베푸세요. 무지를 용서하세요. 무책임한 발언들이 나오는 아름다운 세상입니다." 3월 17일 자 게시물에는 스캔들에 대한 배우의 솔직한 생각이 반영된 것으로 보입니다. 


하지만 대만의 배우 대런 왕이 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)에서 승리를 언팔하고, 웹사이트에서 한국인과 찍은 사진을 삭제했다고 스포츠조선 측은 밝혔습니다. 

왕 씨는 지난 1월 생일파티에서 승리와 만나 '버닝썬 DJ'와 함께 사진 속 첸 씨와 함께 있었던 것으로 알려졌습니다. 

또 다른 대만 스타 카이 고 씨는 지난 1월 불법 마약 사용 혐의를 받고 있는 '버닝 썬'을 방문했다는 소문이 돌기도 했습니다. 이 클럽은 다른 혐의 가운데 여성 고객을 성희롱하기 위해 사용됐던 불법 마약 유통 혐의를 받고 있는 서울지방경찰청에서 조사를 받고 있습니다. 고 씨의 방문은 그가 마약을 얻기 위해 클럽에 갔다는 소문을 불러일으켰습니다. 

서울경찰청은 지난 3일 승리가 한국 채팅앱 카카오톡에 섹스 동영상을 유포했을 뿐 아니라 다른 섹스 동영상을 촬영했다고 주장했습니다. 노컷 뉴스에 따르면, 그는 이 사실을 부인해 왔습니다. 

승리는 지난 2015년 가수/TV 성격인 정준영 씨가 자신이 다른 여성과 성관계를 맺는 모습을 몰래 촬영한 동영상을 공유한 앱 채팅방에 가입한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.
